Bill summary

As amended, this bill:

  • Stipulates the requirements for electors to sign a petition for a ballot initiative.
  • Permits the secretary of state not to count a petition signature if the address on the petition is not "substantially the same" as the voting registration address.
  • Requires the petition circulator or petition signer to include the voter registration address and county.
